Overview

This safari features all of the popular wildlife game parks.  This safari runs with special discounted offers during the April and May departures.  With Tanzania Wildlife Safari travel in custom designed 4×4 safari vehicles with open roofs for game viewing.  This is a small group seat-in-vehicle safari with a maximum of 6 travelers per vehicle, all with window seats. Traveling for 6-day, the safari includes meals, accommodation, park entry fees and visit to Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1 KARATU CULTURAL EXPERIENCE | HIGHVIEW HOTEL
Enjoy the day in the Karatu area, nestled between the Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Karatu is a colorful bustling town and a fun place to visit to buy souvenirs. After breakfast enjoys a hike to the Ngorongoro Forest. On this two-hour hike through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will discover a magnificent waterfall and incredible “elephant caves” created by elephants digging up the earth to ingest the vitamin-rich soil. You may see buffalo, bushbuck, waterbuck, and baboons, also attracted by the soil.
During the afternoon visit the Iraqw cultural center. The areas surrounding Karatu town are Iraqw homeland and you can witness their locally developed intensive cultivation techniques. Traditionally in conflict with the Maasai, Iraqw homesteads included underground tunnels – aasimo — in which to hide. You’ll see these elaborate structures during a visit. During this excursion, you can learn more about the Iraqw culture by interacting at the local markets and learn how they run their daily lives.

Day 2 SERENGETI – IKOMA WILDCAMP
Head out after breakfast for the drive to Serengeti National Park. The word “Serengeti” is derived from the Maasai language, meaning “endless plain.” En-route to the Serengeti, you can opt to visit at Masaai Village, a perfect place to explore the Maasai culture and even participate in some tribal activities or Olduvai Gorge, known as the Cradle of Humanity; the Museum is a testament to the long journey that humanity has made from its humble roots in East Africa to its current state as the dominant species on earth. Enjoy a game drive en-route to your camp. Overnight at Ikoma Wildcamp or similar (with lunch, dinner & breakfast)
Day 3 NATURE WALKING TOUR | NIGHT GAME DRIVE IKOMA WILDCAMP
Head out after breakfast for the Nature walking tour along Grumeti River, late Afternoon walk back to your lodge for hot lunch relax while waiting for sun-downer and night game drive in the evening, A whole new world of animal species (nocturnal) awaits you on a night game drive, Ikoma is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled, it gives you a different perspective of the park and wildlife Especially a night game drive. Dinner will be a selection of Swahili cuisine prepared in our Ikoma wild camps. After dinner, you can experience a great night safari. Overnight at Ikoma Wildcamp or similar (with lunch, dinner & breakfast)
Day 4 SERENGETI SERENGETI WILDBEEST CAMP
A full day in the Serengeti with game drives – unequaled for its beauty and home to the Great Wildebeest Migration. The huge herds of plains game such as wildebeest, zebra, and antelope dominate the park while the attendant predators such as lion and cheetah are to be found amongst the many kopjes scattered across the plain. Its landscape varies from open grass plains in the south, savanna with scattered acacia trees in the center, hilly, wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. Overnight at Serengeti Wildbeest camp or similar (with lunch, dinner & breakfast)
Day 5 NGORONGORO | HIGHVIEW HOTEL
This morning you’ll enjoy a game drive En-route to Ngorongoro Crater, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for game driving and exploration. The crater is 600m deep, 16km across and 265 sq km in area. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and game viewing, in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Many of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino can be seen grazing on the open grassland of the crater floor, surrounded by some of the 20,000 large animals that occupy the crater, including lion, cheetah, eland, zebra and gazelle. Flamingo, among other bird species, can often be seen feeding at Makat Soda Lake as well. Afternoon dive to your lodge for your overnight stay.Overnight at Highview hotel or similar (with lunch, dinner & breakfast)
Day 6 KILIMANJARO AIRPORT
Enjoy a morning at leisure before your transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight home. If your flight departs during the morning ( any time before noon) a night accommodation must be add in Moshi –speak to us to arrange this.

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and drive to Karatu area.
Do you arrange airport transfers?
Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
